BARACHEL MODEL COLLEGE

Barachel Model College is a group of schools that as a niche for excellence. This epitome is synonymous with the impeccable giant strides that we have achieved and sustained all through the years as a result of our doggedness, resilience and indefatigable mission of striving for the best at all times.

Our students both within and in diaspora have left their footprints in the sand of time. We have been consistently maintaining remarkable result both in WASCE, and NECO examination.2018/2019 WASCE is not an exception; we had Innumerable A’s, for instance, consequently most of this last set of graduands has gained admission into higher institutions of learning. To buttress this point, Martins Ayobami and Adelaja David are currently studying medicine and surgery in university of Ibadan and Lagos State University respectively. Also, Busari Olabisi and Busari Olamide are currently studying Accounting and Biochemistry at Caleb University. Adebayo Tosin is in University of Lagos studying system engineering. In fact, the list is endless but we give God the glory.

Furthermore, in a keenly contested competition organized by Nollyfans Achievement Award in November, 2019, our students Farouk Aisha emerge as the best overall in English language.
Also, our ex- students are making giant strides in their various fields of endeavors, for instance Adamu Linda graduated with a first class (4.9) from federal University of Lokoja in Computer science.
Finally, in all aspects, morally, socially and in psychomotor skills, our students have been progressive to conform to the ideology of this school striving for the best.

3. ACADEMIC CURRICULUM
The school’s academic programme is based on the British Curriculum.
The school follows a curriculum that is divided into four cycles or key stages similar to the National Curriculum in England and Wales.
These cycles are as follows:
Pre-school – Nursery –KG 2
Elementary School
Grades – 1- 5
Intermediate School
Grades – 6 – 8 Checkpoints at Grade 8
Senior School Grades – 9 -12
IGCSE at 10, AS and SAT at 11,
A2 and TOEFL at 12
All the Cambridge International Examinations are done in our school. We, being a sub-centre (NG193), in conjunction with the British Council in Nigeria.

4. OUR RESULTS IN CAMBRIDGE INTERNATIONAL EXAMINATION AND SAT
In all subjects, we have had 100% for IGCSE and AS over the years and 80% for the A2 examination that started last session for the first time. Our excellent result in SAT has given our students scholarship opportunities in various universities.

5. WORLDWIDE UNIVERSITY ACCEPTANCE
Notwithstanding the results at A2, our students have been accepted in the sophomore or 1st year Engineering at the British (Manchester), Canadian (Concordia, Montreal), French (INSA), and Lebanese (American University of Beirut, Lebanese American University, Haigazian and Balamad) universities.
6. EXTERNAL AWARDS
The School engages in external competition with other schools within the community and has won various awards in the process. The School’s Basketball Team has been champion for four consecutive years in the Schools ‘Basketball Tournament. Other recently won awards by the school include:

THE CRESCENT INTERNATIONAL SCHOOLS

The Crescent International Schools have made its mark in many local and International Competitions over the fifteen (15) years of its existence. · The School registered its name gold in 2019 through Omoegbeleghan Gift as she made it to the National Finals of Season 8 Cowbellpedia TV Quiz.
· Gift Omoegbeleghan came 1st in the 2019 Our Generation Foundation (OGF) Mathematics is Simple Senior Secondary Category Competition.
· The School emerged as the Best in Mathematics at the National Conference of the Mathematics Association of Nigeria (MAN) held in Kano State.
· We were the 1st Runner-up at the 2019 Science Teachers Association of Nigeria (Ogun State) through Jimoh Abdulsamad.
· We came 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively at the Nigeria Computer Society Quiz Competition at both the Primary and Secondary level of the competition.

The alumni of this great citadel of learning include graduates of tertiary institutions both home and abroad who are doing very well as entrepreneurs and working class in their respective organizations.
From the 2012/2013 graduating set of The Crescent International High School, we have
· Dr. Uthman Hassan: He was the best graduating student of his set having distinguished himself in WAEC and NECO. He studied Medicine/Surgery at Elrazi University, Khartoum, Sudan coming top with a very strong Distinction. He is now a medical practitioner.
· Faizal Hassan: He graduated with First Class in Estate Management at Crescent University, Abeokuta. He emerged as the

· Awogun Aminat: She graduated with a First Class in Pharmacy (2017) from the premier university – University of Ibadan. Aminat is currently working with U.I. Research Control.
· Ayoola Tolulope: He was the Senior Prefect of the 2012/2013 set. He is in his final year at UNILORIN studying Medicine/Surgery. He is currently at the Distinction level and by God’s grace will graduate in that class, Amen.
· Kelani Hamid: He is a Lieutenant from the Nigeria Defence Academy (2019)
· Adetona Abisola: She graduated from Moshood Abiola Polytechnic with Upper Credit and is currently serving the Nation (NYSC)
· Ahmed Samad: He passed out from the Nigerian Police Force Academy and now an Assistant Superintendent of Police (A.S.P.)
· Idowu Toibat: A graduate of Babcock University with Second Class (Upper Division) in Banking and Finance (2017). She is working presently.
· Ogungbe Olaoluwa Samuel: He was the Deputy Senior Prefect of his set. After completing his National Diploma in Mass Communication at The Polytechnic Ibadan, he had a brief internship with The Guardian Newspaper where he made his mark as a burgeoning columnist. He is currently pursuing further studies in South Africa.
· Lamidi Kehinde: She graduated with Second Class (Upper Division) in History/International Relations from Obafemi Awolowo University (2018). Kehinde is presently serving her fatherland.
· Ezekiel Omotoke: She was the first crowned Miss Crescent in 2012. After graduating in 2013, she travelled to China for her university education at Shenyang University to study International Economics and Trade passing out with Second Class (Upper Division). She returned to Nigeria in 2019 to serve her fatherland.
We have established an-after-school monitoring of our products and they are performing beautifully in their respective endeavours.
The Crescent International Schools is indeed a place to be! Why? It is because we are The Pacesetters in Learning and Character.
