Out of many schools in Nigeria and in Africa, Oritamefa Baptist Model School, since its birth in 1996, has consistently been a point of reference in terms of quality education, effective teaching and mentoring, and zero tolerance against indiscipline and examination malpractices. Our students are adequately equipped with basic academic skills. This is evident in their outstanding performances in WASSCE and other external examinations. In 2003, one of our students emerged as the 2nd overall best student in WASSCE in West Africa. Equivalent feats were recorded in 2010 (Best female WASSCE candidate), in 2014 (1st in South West Nigeria), in 2015 (1st in Oyo State and in Nigeria), in 2016 (1st in Oyo State), and more notably, in 2017, the school produced the best male and female candidates in WASSCE, a feat unrivalled. The list is inexhaustible. All these remarkable achievements are owed to God, who has always been the pillar of the institution, and to all members of staff who have in many instances proven to be selfless, dedicated, and committed to making the school stronger and greater.
Moreover, OBMS has become a force to be reckoned with in the academic sector of Oyo State and, indeed, Nigeria since 2003. As a matter of fact, we do not only equip our students academically, we also train them to be morally upright and socially balanced.
